Crofton: At least there is the Ferry Terminal
Wednesday July 13, 2016
There wasn't much in Crofton at least not from what I could see. It may have been that the weather had turned bad & was just adding to my glum mood. I had missed my turn off for the Ferry in the rain & some nice Oregon Cyclists got me pointed in the right direction. Never could understand how town planners can think it is OK to place ONE sign on the OPPOSITE side of direction of travel & think, "that's OK, they'll figure it out." Even more embarrassing when you have to ask people from another country if they have seen the sign to the ferry terminal. My mood brightened upon arrival as a nice couple in an SUV asked me if I would like to get out of the rain & wait in their car? It's moments like that, that can lead to new friendships, interesting stories & make for a great day. I felt just a little bit guilty when I received V.I.P. treatment being sent to the front of the line up for the ferry ride to Saltspring Island.
